My Story

A visionary leader with a personal life commitment to helping to improve the lives of vulnerable families and communities and to advance racial equity and social justice. As the owner of Paramount Equity Consulting, Ebony works to drive positive change by offering training and consulting services with a focus on racial economic equity. Specializing in training on the racial wealth gap, how to leverage data, and building inclusive environments, fostering a society where diversity is celebrated, and economic opportunities are accessible to all. Experience in national and place-based philanthropy, providing technical assistance and capacity building to community practitioners and other key stakeholders.

Specializing in training on the racial wealth gap, how to leverage data, and building inclusive environments, fostering a society where diversity is celebrated, and economic opportunities are accessible to all. Experience in national and place-based philanthropy, providing technical assistance and capacity building to community practitioners and other key stakeholders. 

Previously, she was the Senior Director of Programs at Prosperity Now. She served as a dedicated and team-oriented professional whose accomplishments reflect thoughtful program development and implementation instincts, strong leadership skills, and demonstrated commitment to developing partnerships through authentic communication, networking, and respectful relationships. Ebony provided tailored technical assistance and capacity building to nonprofits of color to increase their leadership and capacity building within the ecosystem of asset building, racial wealth divide, and lifting-up best practices that impact the racial economic disparities in their communities and give platform to highlight promising practices and solutions.

As a program implementer, Ebony helped Prosperity Now better understand, identify, and analyze racial wealth disparities. In addition, Ebony wrote publications highlighting racial wealth divides in local communities for nonprofits, policymakers, and other local stakeholders.  Ebony’s extensive experience promoting race and culture through the Truth, Racial Healing, and Transformation (TRHT) initiative at the Kellogg Foundation, as well as diversity, equity, and inclusion promotes greater understanding across communities and organizations.

Before joining Prosperity Now, Ebony supported the design and implementation of the W. K. Kellogg Foundation’s TRHT enterprise. For this initiative, she coordinated the collaboration with more than 130 organizations and thought experts to identify best practices and guiding principles for communities to consider when implementing the TRHT framework of narrative change, racial healing, separation, law, and economy. As part of her nine-year tenure at Kellogg, Ebony provided resources and agency across multiple initiatives, programs, and sectors, ranging from place-based to national philanthropy. She holds a Master of Public Administration with a Nonprofit Leadership and Management emphases.
